Impassioned is the last track on the EP, and is easily the most venturous track that Repressionist had released. Packed with melodic lines, three guest musicians, and harmonic ideas that hadn't been fully realized until the release of Impassioned.
lyrics
Holy messenger, what do you dream
Why are you giving, into the lust
How will you, quench the thirst
Who are your sins, when were they raped
Priests, practice what you preach
Your impassioned words will cease
Bang
Put them in a body bag
I will not rest until these dogs get put down
Bang
Put them in a body bag
I will not rest until I see them all drown out
Oh, Can't you smell the decay
God is dead, we are left to rot
All hope will die, behind closed eyes
Your days are numbered
Allegiance made are severed
Ripped in half by the greed of their own poisoned thoughts
Human life is damned in disarray
All become disconnected, no relapse from the severity
Human life is damned in disarray
Conscious liars at the altar of the church
Baptized in hypocrisy, congregating dystopia
Hailed lives of terrorism, bastardized behind the wisdom of blasphemy
Born into the chapter of Christ, no hope for the true light
Misguided down the hole by the hand of angels
If only you knew how they’d let you die
If only they knew how we all simply die
Returned to the soil of the earth to fertilize
We’re all damned in this life with no purpose
Yet I will not die with you
Servants of misery, forcing damnation through sermon
Priests, practice what you preach
Your impassioned words will cease
Flies are all that will be left
They feast on flesh
Remains of human bodies
who created the end
